Frontstage Magazine: If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, it would be…?
Nicklas Sahl: Always such a difficult question to answer. Probably ‘Thriller’ by Michael Jackson. At the moment I’m obsessed with Shania Twain’s album “Come on Over”. I’ve got a very weak spot for country music.
Frontstage Magazine: If you looked at your Wikipedia entry 10 years from now, it would say …
Nicklas Sahl: Geez, I’ll be 36 years old by then! Hopefully a lot of amazing things have happened with my music career within those 10 years. I also dream about doing some side projects, like having my own podcast, perhaps do some acting and stuff like that, so it may need to add some titles to my profession.
Frontstage Magazinre: If your biggest idol asked you for some advice, it would be….
Nicklas Sahl: Haha, would be strange if my biggest idol asked ME for some advice! I would probably ask them for some advice instead. If I for instance met John Mayer, I’d probably ask him about all his tour life hacks. How he takes care of his physical and mental health to be able to always perform and still live a happy life. Must be a difficult balance when you’re “competing” on the highest level.
Frontstage Magazine: If you could host your own festival, then…
Nicklas Sahl: I would make a very exclusive 3-day festival on a tropical island. Theme: A mix of White Lotus and Great Gatsby (without the drugs and all the people dying and all that of course). Main act is Mark Ronson with a big band/symphony orchestra and several guests like Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Yebba, etc would join in for a song. The day after people are hungover from all the Pina Coladas. This is when the whole place transforms into a cozy outdoor smooth jazz club.
Frontstage Magazine: If you could trade places with a musician/band for a concert….
Nicklas Sahl: I’d love to try and be Harry Styles for one night. For so, so many reasons.
Frontstage Magazine: If your absolute favorite band/artist would play with you in the opening program, then…
Nicklas Sahl: I’d sing ‘Jenny Wren’ together with Paul McCartney and my life would be complete.
Frontstage Magazine: If you had to do any job well for the rest of your life, you would…
Nicklas Sahl: I think it would be best to just stick with music in that case. That’s the only thing I’ve spent the famous 10.000+ hours on.
Frontstage Magazine: If, starting tomorrow, every human being could travel back and forth to any number of parallel Earths untouched by humans, then…
Nicklas Sahl: I’d just stay here on the current earth, I think. Going to another parallel universe to an earth untouched by humans sounds so lonely and scary!
Frontstage Magazine: If you had everyone’s attention for 30 seconds, then…
Nicklas Sahl: Everyone, as in the whole world’s attention?I’d probably have a panic attack – that’s a lot of attention! But if we pretend for a second that I could stay cool, I would sing them a snippet of my next single. Can’t waste a great promo opportunity like that!
Frontstage Magazine: If you wake up tomorrow and don’t know anything about your band in the morning…
Nicklas Sahl: I’d get the hell out of that band bus!
