Frontstage Magazine: If, starting tomorrow, every human being could travel back and forth to any number of parallel Earths by humans, then…
R3HAB: You can see what the result of every decision is by going to the past and the future. If you want to build a successful life, sometimes you have to suffer a little bit to get the success for later on. Imagine you can go two years in the future and if you would say “every day I would do 30 push-ups!” After two years you see the results, then you would mostly do it. Sometimes, when things go very slow, you don`t see the result so you are not really motivated. If I could go to the future and would see the result, push-ups would be nothing.
Frontstage Magazine: If you could play a gig at the venue of your choice, then it would…
R3HAB: There are a lot of venues I would love to play. There a lot of venues I would love to play. In Norway in the glacier on the top of the mountain with a view over the water. Or on the Greenland in some crater. Phi Phi Island. Bali. There are so many great locations. Probably it would be one of those where it’s actually impossible to play.
Frontstage Magazine: If you could trade places with a musician/band for a concert…
R3HAB: I think it would the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the 90s.
Frontstage Magazine: If you had to/could band one song from your discography once and for all, then…
R3HAB: I don’t think that I should, but there are so many things that I disagree with a later stage. But you learn from them.
Frontstage Magazine: If you had to decide whether you could only breathe under water or fly, then…
R3HAB: It’s a no brainer. I would love to fly.
Frontstage Magazine: If you could pick which country you had a number 1 hit in, it would be…
R3HAB: In the United States, for sure.
Frontstage Magazine: If you looked at your Wikipedia entry 50 years from now, it would say…
R3HAB: Hopefully “still alive”, right? In 50 years I would be 86, that’s a good question. Maybe: „Released ten successful albums and played a tour that was not from this planet“. Or the first artist to play a show on Mars. I think that would be fun.
Frontstage Magazine: If you had everyone’s attention for 30 seconds, then…
R3HAB: Wow, that’s a big power. I would need to write the best message of my life. We are actually much closer as we think. But I think that’s a topic, that’s interesting and I think that we are much more connected than we are, but people don’t see it.
Frontstage Magazine: If you biggest idol asked you for some advice, it would be…
R3HAB: my biggest idol? Depends on what advice it is. I think it’s about consistent actions. There is always suffer in things, but suffering makes things enjoyable. Meaning anything basically with good results has a little bit of pain into it, you know? Because it was easy everyone would do it and then the result would not be interesting. You would not feel like “Hey, I did this”. If now you could take one pill to have all the success and everything, then would you really enjoy it? You would enjoy it for a little while, but you wouldn’t have the fulfillment, I guess.
