Frontstage Magazine: What emotions and themes are at the heart of your album?
LOI: Emotions like love, hope, loss, and self-acceptance are the core of this album. I wanted to create something honest and deeply personal – an album that reflects real-life experiences and emotions.
Frontstage Magazine:How has your songwriting process evolved for this album compared to previous projects?
LOI: This album reflects the past five years of my life. I started working on it at 17, and now, I am 22, I’ve grown so much – not just as an artist, but as a person. A lot has happened during this time, and I’ve learned so much about myself. That personal growth is deeply embedded in my songwriting and you can hear it in the Album.
Frontstage Magazine:Were there any particular challenges or surprises during the album’s production?
LOI: There were definitely a few surprises, but the biggest one came while writing Left in Your Love. I never planned to write such an emotional song about my dad, but my subconscious was clearly trying to process something I had suppressed for a long time. What makes this song even more special is that it gave me one of the greatest gifts – a stronger relationship with my dad.
Frontstage Magazine:How would you describe the album’s sound? Are there any musical influences or new elements you explored?
LOI: The album features powerful ballads that come straight from the heart. Over the past five years, I’ve been influenced by so many artists, but my biggest inspirations —especially when it comes to songwriting and performance — are James Arthur, Ed Sheeran, and Adele. Their music has shaped the way I write and express emotions in my songs.
Frontstage Magazine:What do you hope to convey or achieve with this album for your fans?
LOI: I hope listeners feel understood and connected through my music. Whether it’s a song about love, personal growth, or family, I want people to find something that resonates with them. If even one person feels seen or comforted by these songs, then I’ve achieved what I set out to do.
Frontstage Magazine: In what ways does this album reflect your personal and artistic growth?
LOI: I’ve grown not just as an artist, but as a person, and that growth is reflected in my music. I’ve become more confident in my voice, my emotions, and my creative choices. This album represents a journey — one where I’ve learned to trust myself and embrace my own artistic identity.
Frontstage Magazine: Our last question is always a bit out of the ordinary. Which Disney movie would the album be the soundtrack for, and why?
LOI: My album would be perfect for the soundtrack of Frozen. The movie is all about self-acceptance, family relationships, and personal growth — these themes align perfectly with my album. Just like Frozen, my music tells a story of finding yourself, overcoming struggles, and embracing who you are.
