Nachdem William Fitzsimmons im letzten Jahr mit „Covers, Vol. 1“ bereits ein Cover-Album veröffentlichte, folgt nun endlich der zweite Teil: „Covers Vol. 2“ erscheint am 11.08.2023 via Grönland Records. Nach „Vienna“ und „Hold Me“ folgt heute daraus die bereits dritte Single: „A Little Bit Yours“ – ein Cover von JP Saxe.
Zu „A Little Bit Yours“ sagt William Fitzsimmons:
„JP Saxe was one of my favorite musical discoveries of the last few years. A young, but wonderfully mature writer, his songs are filled with familiar themes of lost love, unrequited feelings, but hopefullness about the future. He does the very same thing all of my favorite artists do: take something most people feel, but make it seem completely new, giving a perspective which might never have been known prior. A Little Bit Yours deals with the common, but often unsaid, situation of holding onto a past love more than the lost partner. The sense of resignation is present, but not overwhelming. In my own version, I attempted to strike that same balance of sadness and anger, while also making something sweet and strong. I covered this song specifically because of my own struggles dealing with the past, but with a lovely catharsis and movement towards the future.“
