Die finnische 6-fach Platin- und 8-fach Gold-zertifizierte Rockband The Rasmus ist zurück mit ihrer elektrisierenden neuen Single „Creatures of Chaos“, die heute über Better Noise Music und Playground Music auf allen digitalen Plattformen erscheint.
Mit ihrer charakteristischen Mischung aus düsterer Atmosphäre und hymnischen Melodien beweist die Band einmal mehr, warum sie in der Rockwelt eine feste Größe ist – In ihrer Heimat Finnland steht die Band hinsichtlich der Gesamtzahl ihrer Spotify Follower und YouTube Views aktuell auf Platz 1 aller Rockbands.
At its core, “Creatures of Chaos” is an anthem for outsiders, a rallying cry for anyone who has ever felt like they don’t belong. “‘Creatures of Chaos’ is a global invitation to all misfits and anyone out there who’s ever felt like an outsider to join us!” kommentiert Frontmann Lauri Ylönen. „The world is such a messed up place right now. I felt like going harder musically to match my feelings of being lost, scared and uncomfortable. People are so divided with their opinions that I find myself looking for hope and unity out of people like myself. It’s important to belong somewhere and take a stand with your opinions. ‘Creatures of Chaos’ is a shout-out to all people like us to come together.”
Der Song wurde von Lauri zusammen mit Desmond Child und Marti Fredriksen geschrieben, wobei Child bereits bei den vorherigen Alben Black Roses und Rise mitwirken und in der Vergangenheit mit Künstlern wie Bon Jovi, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper zusammengearbeitet hat. “Creatures Of Chaos” wurde in Fredriksens Sienna Studios in Nashville aufgenommen. Anschließend übernahm Joseph McQueen die zusätzliche Produktion, sowie das Mixing und Mastering des Tracks in den Sparrow Sound in Los Angeles – Vollgepackt mit treibenden Riffs, hymnischen Hooks und rohen Emotionen, kanalisiert “Creatures Of Chaos” den Geist der Rebellion und der Einheit, der schon immer das Herzstück der Musik von The Rasmus war.
